prayer warriors (following Jesus Christ, everyone welcome)

I was invited to this thread by one of you. Mind if I tag along? We have daily morning intercessory prayers in our home, plus I pray throughout the day as a person or situation comes to mind. Our kids are far away and we find the best, and usually only, thing we can do for them is pray. I have many unsaved family members and saving grace is prayed over them every day, same with friends. So, I'm not sure that qualifies as a prayer warrior, but here I am.

I know y'all are praying for the people in California who are enduring those terrible wildfires. It's unbelievable and heartbreaking that tens of thousands of people may have lost their homes ... Let us pray that the winds die down and that God will send rain to quench the fires. And also that He will send angels to keep the fire fighters and First Responders safe. My late brother was a smoke jumper for many years, so there is a special place in my heart for fire fighters. God bless them all!

Indeed it does, Valerie, and I am in the same situation as you! I do not know if ANY of my grandchildren are saved - well, one of the two that live with me seems to be, glory to God! - but the other six, who knows? God knows, that's Who! So I pray over them daily and keep faith I will meet them in the resurrection, won't that be joy! Thanks for joining us, Sister, we're happy to have you! All are welcome, so tag any you think would like to join us.

I lived in So Cal for 40 years. Many fires and nothing like this ever. It's devastating. Definitely praying for them. Have seen some horrific videos. Brings tears to my eyes every time. God please protect the people, animals and birds of Pacific Palisades, in the mighty and compassionate name of Jesus.

Thank you, but ... I don't feel like a "wonderful warrior" by any means! I feel like a child in distress that just needs to constantly call on the strength, wisdom, compassion and faithfulness of my wonderful heavenly Father to survive in this fearsome planet until His Son comes back to take us home!

Well, we are sisters for sure. I'm certainly a simple prayer warrior. I think God can hear me as I am.

I have been involved in an in depth study recently in the OT, and I told my husband recently, I used to think I was a Berean, now I think I'm a beginning student. I'm learning so much about God, and how He loves His people, and how patient He is and how willing He is to accept even the smallest repentance. It has been amazing journey, and so far I'm only at 2 Kings.

But, the one thing that has stood out to me in this journey has been, God hears every prayer and acts on every prayer, even when you think He is not near. He is. Actually I've learned that before too, but that's a story for a different time.
