Im just about to purchase a Premier One Permanet poultry net 48" high, single spike but Im confused over which energizer is better. Im trying to decide between the Hot Shock 5 or the Patriot P5 They are both .5joule. The patriot looks like its a tad bit stronger output. Also you can buy both off amazon for less but it doesnt include the ground rod, fence tester and wire. So thinking since Im a total newbie to fencing it may be worth the extra $50 to buy the complete kit which includes the energizer, wire, fence tester and ground rod. Im using it for my backyard flock but its in a wooded area that does not get enough sun. Both these units can be used as plug in (I have electricity at site) or battery. Does anyone have any insight? Its so much money to spend I don't want to make a costly mistake. Thanks
