are you sure that is a Rhode Island red? it looks like a golden commet to me...

not a RIR... it is probably a Golden comet.

I wondered if that might be the case. I’m happy either way, but it is nice to have it confirmed. I was actually hoping to add Golden Comets last year but the source sold out before my coop was delivered. Anyone have pix of RIR pullets to share? I assume they don’t have white feathers that shed out by adulthood.

RIR's sometimes have a few black feathers in the tail.
