Wow this was a crazy ride. But I got to know, for anyone who stayed up until it stopped did it go super fast and come to an abrupt stop or did it slow down to a stop?

It's like an "on/off" switch. Either a scheduled task on the back end or a person pushed the change and you go from spinnin' like a record player to normal immediately. Individual members might/probably saw slightly different times because of their local browser cache until it timed out or they manually reloaded the site.

It was very abrupt, but it seemed some stopped spinning before others. I went to the home page and clicked back on the article and everything was square again, but some stopped like a millisecond later than the others.
