I have 3 week old chick that appears to have a prolapsed vent. We noticed it a week ago and have been keeping it clean with Hypochlrous acid (Vetericyn), witch hazel, and prep h. It has gotten a little better over the past week and she’s been acting completely normal. Eating, drinking, and playing. She is also gaining weight just as fast as the other chicks. Is there anything remedy for this? Should I just keep doing what I’m doing and be patient? How long does this take to heal for anyone that’s experienced this. I’ve attached some pictures of her vent this morning. It sometimes protrudes a little more but I’m noticing that’s it’s staying in a lot more often than a week ago and a lot less red and irritated. This is after cleaning and pushing it in a little. When she poops it comes out and sometimes goes back in, sometimes not. Thanks so much in advance.
