Hello,
Thank you in advance to anyone who can provide any insight as to the Gender of my 3 baby chicks. I started keeping chickens last year, but my original batch of chicks turn out to have a lot of boys, so this spring I was looking to add more ladies to my flock.
These three chicks are 8 weeks old today, and were purchased from MyPetChicken. They were all sexed as female.

1. Blue Cochin
2. Splash Marans
3. Black Copper Marans

I was absolutely convinced the Cochin was a cockerel from day one, due to comb, size, confidence. But now the comb growth has slowed, and I’m less certain. It has developed much differently from a Partridge Cochin I got last year, that turn out to be Cockerel.

The BCM also convinced me early on that it was male, primarily due to comb size. That is still what I am leaning towards, but it’s comb is way smaller at this age than a Black Birchen Cockerel I had gotten last year.

The Splash Marans has me hoping pullet.

The Cochin and Splash Marans are for sure pullets, and I'm leaning towards cockerel for the Black Copper. It's a bit early to tell for that one, and the comb is smaller than I'd expect for a cockerel, but larger than a pullet's would usually be. So I think cockerel, but update in a couple weeks if you're still unsure. :)

Thank you so much! That’s a nice surprise about the cochin!!

Very pretty birds you have, your BCM is an iffy to me just yet, also.
Comb size should be much bigger but could also be just a late bloomer male.
Thank you very much! I think they’re beautiful too, but I’m partial.
I appreciate you sharing your experience with a newbie. It looks like I will have to wait a little more and see with the BCM.
