Okay, so I have two ducks, one Ancona and one Indian runner who is blind in one eye. I also have thee Isa Browns and they all best beautifully in their coop at night and lay eggs in the nesting box attached to the coop.
My two ducks sleep under the coop at night however now my Indian runner is sleeping inside the coop - which is beyond cute and now I'm noticing duck eggs inside the nesting box! Which comes to my problem, she is laying eggs in the box or really stuffing herself in the coop at night (she started by just sitting in the door way) and my Ancona can't see her and quacks so loudly in the night or anytime a little bit of light comes through from our neighbours yards. Any suggestions on keeping the quacking at bay? I've been going out there so when they hear my voice they all run out of their coop to see me but I can't keep doing this at a crazy hour. Help?

I'm not familiar with ducks quite yet, but I'd possibly suggest putting your Ancona in the coop with the others so she can see the Indian Runner and won't get as upset.

If the Ancona won't fit in the coop could you provide the two ducks with their own nesting site. A dog crate. box, or barrel filled with shavings or hay. Dummy eggs might encourage them to lay in a particular place.

Hey all!

They are all in a big space together it's that my runner goes into their little house on her own sometimes and leaves the Ancona outside of it. They usually lay in one spot together but sleep in seperate spots.

They are together but the runner goes right inside their little house without her sometimes :(
