I only order from Myshire.Your set up looks great! I somehow never thought of wire floor with boxes of dirt everywhere else! That's certainly an idea I'm gonna write down and play with, thank you! Your quail are gorgeous, where did you get them? they look like the colors I was looking at from Myshire Farms! (Haven't looked into the company besides just quail pictures haha xD)

Myshire's fertility rates are excellent.Oo! Oo! Mind if I ask some questions? Could change by the time I order but how was fertility? How many hatched out of what you bought? :0 was it a good transaction and all? They have a gorgeous selection I can't help but fall in love!
I use Peat Moss. I love it and so do my birds.
I buy it at Home Depot for about $12.
A bag lasts me about 2 months for 4 cages.View attachment 2263627

Hatch rate depends on how well you know your incubator.
Do you know yours well?
I know my incubator well so my hatch rates are very good.
I wouldn't change a thing. I use it in all of my cages...in boxes that pretty much cover the floor.Thank you! I have heard of people using it for a dust bath, do you use it for main substrate? How's it worked out for you?

About 3 inches deep. How deep are the boxes? How do you clean them? Peat is one of the substrates I wrote down but didn't mention here, I was gonna look into it more been a few years since I was doing Horticulture work at school haha!
