Quail with curled feathers

Anyone know whats going on with my quails featehers? Its a rescue

It looks kinda like the feather sheaths are growing in crooked.

I'm guessing malnutrition, probably not enough protein in their feed. It will probably get better when they get a proper diet.

What feed do you recommend? I was told they are around 1 years old

I put a link to an article on feed in my last reply. Rather than recommending a specific feed, those are the things you should look for. I've found that the best feeds are often locally produced feeds which may or may not be available everywhere.
