Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

Great intro! Wishing you a great hatch!

Is Picard a shepherd? She is beautiful!
Thank you! Yes, she is purebred german shepherd. Both of her parents look like regular GSDs, so she was a surprise. We have her father too. She was pure white when she was born, and then the reddish came in from like 3-7 months old. She's so soft too!

Here I've attached a picture of her father, Guts

Beautiful! 🥰

We are thinking of going with German Shepherd as our next dog as we live in the country so lots of exercise out here. We currently have two that are wonderful poultry protectors though, a 9-year-old border collie and a 3-year-old corgi.

They definitely need a lot of exercise! Although I was surprised to learn how fragile they can be, especially when they are growing. They get so big so fast, it can be hard on their joints.

My daughter has wanted a corgi since she was 4 haha

My quails live in the house for now, but eventually I want to expand into the garage and build a large aviary in the yard. We live on the river, and there are a lot of weasels around. I hope the dogs will do well to keep the weasels away from the buildings. My cats live indoors, so they can't do much. I thought about putting a cat proof fence around my yard so they could also help keep pests and would-be quail predators away.
