Is this ok to put on my lawn that my chickens roam and forage? It says on the back that it is good for crops like tomatoes etc in gardens. I need to put something down to kill ticks. Not sure if I should use this or take it back.

Here is the msds://whatsinproducts.com/msds/15008063%20MSDS%20Ortho%20Bug%20B%20Gon%20MAX%20Lawn%20%20Garden%20Insect%20Killer%20Concentrate%20012405.pdf?PHPSESSID=

This is what it said concerning ecological impact:
ECOTOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION: This pesticide is extremely toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Do not apply directly to water.
Drift and runoff from treated areas may be hazardous to aquatic organisms in neighboring areas. Care should be used when spraying to avoid
fish and reptile pets in/around ornamental ponds. This product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment or residues on blooming
plants. Do not apply this product or allow it to drift to blooming plants if bees are visiting the treatment area.

I had an issue with Thrashing Ants the other day. I used Ortho bug kiler and before I bought it I made sure to read the back.
It said It is safe for people and animals to go on the area "AFTER" it dries

But wouldn't they be able to eat it. Or does it just desolve into the soil after watered and dried? Should we not eat the egs for a while? Thanks for your info.

We don't use ANY poisons where our chickens range. There are bugs, but we don't have to worry about any "what if's" (such as coming out one morning and find a coop of dead chickens).

Did you get the powder then?
I bought the spray you use with the hose after reading all the bottles at the hardware store lol.
I sprayed a couple days ago and let it sit for a day to dry and went back out. It didnt stain the grass or anything and I dug down to make sure the nest was destroyed and the dirt was tinted with white streaks down to about 5 inches into the ground, im guessing from the spray where I hosed.
