Question of the Day - Thursday, April 24th, 2025

To write? I love writing fs. Or Fs, either one is fun, in cursive or in print.
To sound out? I don't know that I have a favorite there, but I hate words that end in the e sound, like penny or Christy. You'd think that would make Y my least favorite, except I love its sound in names like Lynn, so I guess I have a love-hate relationship with Y. And don't think I'm letting I and E off the hook for being wannabe Ys. They're a bad influence on eachother and create things like Annie or (ugh) Christie, but the worst is when they go it alone and try to replace Lynn with Lenn or Linn, which are misspelled abominations and must be destroyed with fire.

I just realized J is probably my favorite letter to sound out. I don't like writing its uppercase form in cursive, but it's fun to write in print in either case. I always put the hat on my uppercase printed Js, like a T with a tail.

My all around least favorite letter by far is Z. It does nothing X can't do, with less versatility - though it is a far, far prettier written letter than X could ever hope to be.
