Raising ducklings and chicks in same brooder

i am ordering 5 ducklings from ideal poultry and would also like 5 chicks with the same order. My brooder is 4x8. With a 4x3 enclosed heated section and a 4x5 open run section. Can I raise both chicks and ducklings together in this brooder until old enough to introduce to the 15 adult chickens we have?

I would not. Those ducklings will make a wet mess out of everything, and it's important chicks stay dry, and their feed stays dry so it doesn't mold.

Might be a better idea to split the brooder in half an put your heat lamp over the middle that way each side can share it?
