In the past month I have received/still waiting on 3 orders of hatching eggs. One took over a week to arrive (USPS) with broken eggs upon arrival, the other took 5 days and I paid 2nd Day Air through UPS, and the last one was supposed to arrive on 4/7 and hoping it gets here by 4/11 (USPS). Anyone else having this much trouble??? How are your hatch rates on these eggs that are taking a week to arrive???
I know hatching out shipped eggs is always a gamble but last year every order that was shipped arrived exactly when it was supposed to. Feeling like I just threw a ton of money out the window :hmm

I received 24 hatching eggs after only 3 days of shipping and only 4 eggs are developing. Hatching eggs are a gamble even in the most perfect of circumstances. That is why a lot of people who ship eggs are moving to using FedEx or UPS versus USPS lately.

If the eggs the breeder shipped were fertile and fresh, you should still get some development even if the shipping was delayed. We save eggs for the incubator for 2 weeks, so they keep a while. The damage the mail does to the eggs during shipping can't be undone, however. Best of luck to you!
