Rehoming two Easter Egger Hens in NYC area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut)

We are looking to rehome for our two Easter Egger Hens.

They are born October 2021, and were still laying eggs in the summer (they don't lay in the winter without light). They're healthy and are easy to handle (our kids pick them up regularly).

We lost a third chicken in the summer, and think these remaining two will be better off around more hens. We plan to rebuild our flock with chicks in the future.

We are located in Westchester county. We are happy to drive them to a new home (within reason) in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut.

How far are you from/would you be willing to bring them to the philly area (we are in NJ right outside philly) We have 2 outdoor hens and we just lost one of our elderly hens yesterday (she had some issues when we adopted her 3+ months ago and she told us it was time so we brought her to the vet)

Id have to convince my mother also but it shouldnt be too difficult considering we both are bleeding hearts haha

We have a secondary coop to keep them in while we integrate the two groups also! The main coop has a 20ft long run and we free range with supervision (we have hawks in the area and have been lucky to never lose a bird to predators thanks to supervising them while they are out!)

Hi! I live in Woodstock, NY and have a small flock of only three birds right now. Barbara is our beautiful senior and the other two are about 3 & 4 years old - one is an Easter Egger. My hens are my BABIES and I give them as much love as any other member of my family. I don't buy hens, so would love to give a soft landing to a few that need to be rehomed. Let me know if you are still trying to find a place for them ❤️
