Hello! We recently bought baby chicks in June of last year. The combs on our Rhode Island Reds have some funny things going on. At first it looked like browning on the edges and I thought it was frostbite since we live in IL and it started to show up after the cold came. But it looks like there is a white area now. When Googling this there are so many issues that pop up I was hoping someone here could help identify this.

Okay, good to know! lol thank you!
Yep! His was pretty bad but it seams to be healing and only the outside part has been falling off. The inside is a lil off color rn but he’s not done with sheading his frostbitten part. I think it will go back to normal. He has a 4H show in July and National poultry in November. I’m kind of mad at him bc he broke two of his wing feathers :( hope they grow back soon. He has lil ones poking in. He also had bad balance when mating so he pulled feathers off his 3 hens. He’s separated now but he is def the prettiest show bird I’ve owned but def the most annoying…
