RIP my beautiful baby girl Mochi

@DuckMochi I feel your loss. NO ONE should have to lose a beloved member of the family, and I know she wasn't just some farm animal.

HUGE HUGS to you and Billy both. Take comfort in each other and come here often. If you need to talk, feel free to DM me any time.

Thank you all for such the kind replies. I'm tearing up reading them. The community here is amazing, thank you. And thank you for helping me out any time I made a thread asking for help. I'm grateful for all the help I always received. And I'm glad that I got to at least watch my baby girl grow into a beautiful duck.

She was blessed with a owner like you! :hugs

I'm glad you got to spend the 8 months you did together. I hope your journey through grief goes well, and eventually you find peace. Mochi is such a wonderful name! And from her pictures she was very beautiful. What was her personality like?

I'm so sorry for your loss. She wasn't just a farm animal, she was a creature that you loved, and that will hold s special place in your heart til your last breath, and beyond. I would be devastated as well. It doesn't matter what species they are, where they live or how old they are, if we love them and consider them an important part of our lives, their absence hurts.

It doesn't matter what type of creature you care for. When you make that connection with them, they feel your loving energy. I'm so sorry that you lost your baby girl. They are precious to us, and we grieve for them when they are gone. I have grave stones on my property where I buried by rooster, "Bumni" and my hens, "Nutmeg" and "Inky". Nothing wrong with having something to remember them by.
:(

I'm thinking about keeping one of her egg shells. We have plenty of them in the refrigerator and my mom knows how to blow them out. I'll probably get a case for it
