Romaine Lettuce to 3 month old chickens?

Hello! We have 12 week old RIR and BR … we have some leftover Romaine lettuce and was thinking it was okay to feed them some chopped up as a treat? Or are they still too young? Currently, only treat they get is clover!

It's safe. Make sure they are getting grit, though.

Update: they did not enjoy the romaine lettuce I mixed some of the clover which they love in with it, and they picked all the clover out and left the lettuce.

Romaine is low value nutritionally - and yes, birds can be very selective. Glad you have clover available. It was one of the first legumes I successfully planted in my pasture to suppliment my birds commercial feed. Currently have four varieies growing (with differing success), they come into bloom at slightly different times of season.
