How do u tell? I can't tell unless they crow and these haven't yet. I don't know what to look for

Both a cockerel, red combs on both, double stripes on the Dominique, dark feathers coming in on the red one

Yep, not until laying, around 17-20 weeks

The males will comb up a lot earlier compared to pullets.
Cockerels usually start to grow their comb around 4-8 weeks, when pullets start to get their comb as they approach laying, which, is around 18-26 weeks is abut when you should start seeing your first eggs.
