Hi All,

First time posting here, we got 6 day old chicks which are now about 9-10 weeks old.
2 x Wyandottes, 2 x Barnevelders & 2 x Olive Eggers.
Pretty sure both our Olive Eggers are Roosters, one of them is definitely crowing in the morning. I think our Wyandottes are both girls and then I have two Barnevelders one (Barnevelder 2) looks more rooster like than the other (Barnevelder 1) but I’m not sure?
Would love someone to help me out as we’ll be sending the boys back to the breeder.

Would love some other opinions on these? Do we think my 2 Wyandottes are ladies?? They don’t have any combs showing at all yet but I’m unsure if different breeds develop differently?

Wyandottes have rose combs so they will look different. They tend to redden early so sometimes hard to tell gender. The 2 pictured above appear to be pullets but it won't hurt to get 2nd opinion.

I just spent hours with my Barnies today (hens) and the one had an early developing comb like your #2. I am not disagreeing with the more knowledgeable people above, as they likely see additional characteristics that I am not.
I’ve just noticed this morning that my Barnevelder #2 is also getting some green feathers developing in its tail so thinking this is another sign of being a rooster?
