I am building a roost, I wonder what angle to use for the roost, as I want it 6-7 feet high, and I don't want them to poop on each other. Have 20 chickens. So I am looking for the right angle for the roost and the leght between bars.
Thanks

I’m sure there’s actual dimensions and info on this somewhere, but we read somewhere that an 18” spread was the way to go, so that’s what we did.
Each rung is 18” horizontally away from the one above.

I agree 45 degree angle makes it easiest to plan out and keeps chickens from pooping on each other. To save floor space I went vertical with the support beams, then rested the 45 degree cut beams above that. I didn't really measure the space between roosts... it's something like 15-16" or so I believe?
