Im Having an issue with a rooster, i have to admit he was froma farmer who bread fighting cocks and when i got him he was blind in one eye, eventually one of my mother hens died, and when i went to recover the chicks she left, they had already settled with the fighting cock, he basically was the father,he calls for them to eat, rest, drink and bathe, but one day i decided he and the chicks were ready to be introduced to the flock, so i let them out of the coop and MY only other rooster didnt pay mutch attention, but maybe 2 weeks later the roo started slowly walking towards the chicks and the "Father" immediately began a fight, he had a disadvantage since he was blind but the main reason i wanted him was that he was gentle, mature and good for defending against aggressive roosters, and i understand the pecking order so i let them go at it a few seconds, and being bred for fighting he easily one, and it was safe to say he was the alpha, yet he stayed with the chicks and allowed no hens near him or them, about 5 days later the looser challenged the dad again,i noticed the roo was using the fathers blindness to his advantage, staying on his blind side, the father was being pecked heavily on his blind side of the face, eventually the father got the roo and sent him running i let it continue and the roo kept running and turning around to continue. He collapsed and close his eyes and then the father did the same falling on top of the looser, i finally grabbed the father and took him back to his chicks, and allowed thrm to recover, the father ome but was covered in blood while the looser had some dirt and a peck here and there, the next day the father/alpha went out side, saw the looser and the father immediately ran,the roo looked confused but established his dominance and mated wirh the hen, the next day i rescued an abandoned rooster who was from the farmer, also a fighting cock, i tool him to the pen and he immediately took over, the roo ran towards him and the Fighter striked him once sending the looser flying, a female turkey ran towards him since the Turkey usually dominated, she chased him for about 5 seconds then he turned around striking once, sending her flying, then the rest of the turkey flock ran over to help, the fighter hit the only male turkey sending him running, the females retreated, he was dominant over everything, yet he isnt aggressive, the father walked outside saw the fighter, did nothing, just called his chicks to eat, but since then he fears only the turkey and the roo, yet the roo is picked on by even the quaills , id like to add the father is old while the roo is about 1 year 2 months, not sure about the fighter,he seems healthy but not too sure, also i do not use the rooster for fighting in cock fights, i simply got them to stay with my flock until the young aggressive roosters are mature, the father is a "azil arabe" and the fighter is a "hatch Americano" if anyone needs any pictures to help i will gladly add some
