i was planning on giving my cockerel to somebody, but they haven’t texted me back and I’m leaving in an hour for a mission trip. The cockerel is in a wire dog cage with the flock currently, as he was supposed to be gone by now. My parents are going to watch him, so should he stay in the cage?? He can’t be with the flock he’s too rough with the girls and we have another rooster already.

I kept 2 young roosters that were double teaming the rape of the pullets in wire cages before for a month, until I found someone to help me butcher them. As long as they have food and water they will be ok. I had also placed a board over the top of the cage.

“The rape of pullets “...
We’ve gone too far when we consider the natural actions of an animal to be held to the standards of people. They might be rough but then don’t watch and make sure your flock is large enough to support his needs
Agrees.
It's typical anthropomorphism.
'Rape' is not a term to be applied to animals sexual behaviors.
Domesticated animals should be managed by humans to prevent male competitive behaviors.
