I adopted a 10 mos old rooster and he is doing amazing! I noticed tonight after 2 mos that he and 1 hen are roosting at one end of the coop and the other hens are roosting on the opposite end! Is this normal? They used to all roost in a line together. Now there is definite separation. Any ideas or concerns I should have? TIA☺️

A rooster will pick his favourite hen. Sometimes that’s the head hen, and sometimes it’s not.

Sounds like your cockerel’s favourite is indeed the head hen, and she has demanded a bit of space.

I haven’t had a head hen be this insistent on her rooster’s monogamy, not letting any other hen near him, but it’s relatively clear to see who’s the favourite during roosting time.

Attributing some human emotion to this, it’s sort of adorable :p.

You could observe their roosting routine tonight; should tell you quite a bit. If the other hens don’t even bother roosting near the cockerel, then it could also be a case of not fully accepting him yet, which takes time

The natural behaviour of a rooster and maturing cockerels such as you have, is to have one, maybe two, favourite hen/s and those hen/s will receive more attention from the male than those hens who are not his favourites. Roosting places are part of this behaviour.
