I know this doesn't make much sense, but welcome to the crazy health life of my rooster, Matthew. Elrond has still been bullying him, and since the weather has been nice, Elrond has been temporarily banished to "The Cage" a dog kennel in my run.
So, I got out this morning, put Elrond in The Cage, do my chores, and go back inside. Later, I come out with some high-protein treats, because I have some molters (this is NOT the point of the story. Please don't harp on my giving my chickens treats.) I set their flock block out because I'm tired of tripping over it, right at the feet of Matthew. Who is missing a spur. It's just gone. There's no blood anywhere, and no sign of the large spur that was there two days ago (I am gone all day Wednesdays), because I was thinking I should plan on trimming it.
He doesn't seem to mind, and he is taking care of all his girls quite well, but I figured I ought to make a post and get your opinions on whether I should put Neosporin (non-medicated, of course) and a bandage on him. What do you make of it?
