Thoughts of the morning.
I have switched to replacing my ducks' pool water in the morning. I feel like it's a little better than replacing it in the early afternoon, after work. They get fresh water first thing in the morning this way.

I built a new pen for the boys since they are being seperated from the girls. It's not my best work, but it's sturdy and functional. I don't know why, but I did not particularly enjoy building it like I usually do. I think that resulted in an uglier pen. Oh well. Now I can spread out the boys so they aren't all in one pen.

I need to start mixing supplement back into the birds' feed. I kinda slacked off after moving all of them to a new property. Show season is coming up and I need to prepare them by changing their diet, among other things.
Today I sign final paperwork for my first piece of land. I'm buying 16 acres in rural west TN. I'm proud of myself and very grateful for friends that helped me in this process. I'm looking forward to everything that is in the future with this land. One day it will be the farm I've always wanted.

I hope everyone has a great day. Show season is only a few weeks away!

Welcome to W TN! I moved here about 5 years ago from CA. I’ll be starting a new mixed flock again soon. I gave my hens to a friend who has a horse ranch when I moved into my current home.
