Roundworms and Ivermectin Pour On

Hi @dawg53 and @Folly's place. I gave 1/2cc to all 8 hens on August 12th. As I was scooping their droppings this morning, I found about 7 dead Roundworms and 1 small live worm. I believe it is a Tapeworm... I placed it under a microscope and took a photo, please find photo attached.
I plan to administer the Valbazen again on August 22nd.
Is there anything different I need to do with the presence of Tapeworms? I read that Valbazen will kill tapeworms also, is that correct?

Good news: That's not a tapeworm nor any other kind of worm that I know of with the photo blown up.
After worming, tapeworms can be excreted in pieces or strings like jellyfish tentacles. Either that or they are absorbed as protein in the digestive tract. They are always dead, just like the roundworms.

Good! Thank you for verifying. It was a tiny worm; about 1/4" long. I dumped all the droppings this morning on a try and went through them and found that little guy. With it being segmented; my first reaction was tapeworm. Learn something new everyday! :)

Hi Mary
Oh goodness! I definitely don’t want a forever egg withdrawal. I’m starting to feel as if my vet doesn’t handle chickens as much as other animals... Is there a known site for figuring out correct dosages for each product listed above (Fenbendazole and Albendazole )? Thank you for your response :)
I use Ivermectin and there is No egg withdrawal~ the amount of absorption is minimal therefore no egg withdrawal.

really! Ivermectin is used all the time off label for chickens, as are many other drugs~ 4 years old, I guess it doesnt matter anyway 😉
