Roundworms? (Pic included)

DE is completely ineffective on internal parasites. You are already using something that works, so stick with that. I've yet to hear a testimonial where someone had a fecal done to confirm worms, treated with DE, and then retested and found all the worms gone. I know from experience how bad it is to put faith in it. No one would use chemical wormers if DE worked.

DE also can be harmful for both you and the chickens to breathe when scratching through feed or in the bedding. Once it is ingested into the beak, it becomes wet, and totally ineffective for doing much of anything. I don’t waste my money on it.

Thank you ALL for your thoughts and advice!

We did the 2nd treatment last night with Safe-Guard and this morning I noticed no more roundworms but these little shards everywhere. Are those pieces of tapeworms or something else? ( FYI - The droppings boards have DE and PDZ refresher on them.)

Thank you for looking at my chicken’s droppings! ;-)

They are shed feather sheaths, nothing to worry about and not caused by medicines nor wormers. You see them if birds are in molt and/or regrowing feathers even in a mini molt that may not be noticeable.
