Rubberized flooring in the coop?

I have read here people using the rubber "sealer" on the floor of the coop itself. What type/brand is this, and I am assuming it is 100% safe for the girls if they peck some up?

Below is what I used. It has been in my coop for over 4yrs, and looks just like it did when I first put it in there. It is totally safe and chicken proof. They can't do anything to it.

It was totally dry within 24hrs. The birds were introduced a couple of days later.

Fantastic. I hope to paint mine on in the mini coop this afternoon and hopefully get these wild things out of my basement by Monday! Did you do a single coat? This grow-out coop is only 4'x4'. I am thinking about painting about 6" up the walls as well. Because of the small size, I think I may just push it around with a paintbrush and not deal with cleaning a roller. What are your thoughts?

Yes, I did one thick coat. I just dumped it directly out of the bucket, and pushed/rollered it around to were I wanted it. I used a cheap roller, so I just tossed it, when I was done. Just had to spray off the roller mechanism itself. Make sure you stir the heck out of it. It's kinda thick, and it separates in the bucket. So you really have to stir well.

I also did one coat. Took me about 2 hpurs to do our 10x10 coop and I also did up the walls a good bit. Dried in a day also. Had the chicks in there a few days later!

I am going to let it sit until Sunday and hopefully put these guys out there. I am happy with the way it went on so far! I also painted the little roost.

What is the advantage of this type of flooring? I am planning on using a concrete slab that was once part of a dog kennel? Do you recommend putting something on the concrete or is that overkill?

Hi. I'm about to put the same product down on an 8x10 coop floor. How do your floors look now?
