Not all Runners stand up like bowling pins either. Your ducks are very pretty.

Oh? I wonder if that's when they are in a mix of other ducks and copy the behaviors? Or genetics when not bred to standards? Runners have the signature stance due to their shorter legs and how the legs are typically farther back on the body.
Even though this one isn't standing like a typical runner, she's definitely a mixed breed and very pretty. I think mixes make the most beautiful birds.

Thank you! It’s very difficult with her as she is either stood fairly tall or… she’s completely flat because she’s foraging!
She hasn’t started laying again yet but we have added an Aylesbury into the mix and they are all getting on nicely! Hopefully normal egg production will resume soon!
