Incubator will be on lockdown over a 3 day weekend. I can have an administrator let me in on Saturday but will the humidity stay high enough for Sunday and Monday without being checked? Or should I take them home on day 16 or 17? Opinions??

I would take them home provided that's 1/2 hour or less away. I'd take them out of there and put them all in egg cartons pointy side down, then put them in an ice chest or cooler. When you get home, plug it in and get it close to where it has to be temp and humidity and put them back in.

They would have probably been all right, but I sure wouldn't be taking that chance.

I don’t hatch, but where I live I’d be concerned about a power failure which happen for no particular reason. At least if you have them at home you can move them somewhere else if necessary

@The Moonshiner , do you have any experience with this bator?
Actually I do not. And funny that it took me a minute to think through my list.

I believe it's one that you have to just open and pour some water in. I've got a couple like that and it's not easy to get the humidity where you want it and keep it there for that long of a period.
I was curious if it had a bottle attachment or the shoestring method could be applied.
I think there's too many variables for an opinion from me.
Where I'm at I'm about 30 minutes from the school and it's mostly potholes and washboard gravel. Might be a rough ride for eggs.
It's also fairly decent humidity here so I can dry hatch then only need to raise it 20- 25% for lockdown. That's not as hard to do as it could be for others.

I live 2 miles from my school and I’m in Florida with the highest humidity, possible! Roads would be smooth as they are city roads. However, humidity in this bator is hard to keep steady….temp is fine. With those variables, any rec’s?

Do you have separate, independent thermometer and hygrometer in the incubator or are you relying on the incubators sensors?
Never, ever rely on the incubators sensors, they are notorious for giving false readings.

Being only 2 miles from you, I'd just bring them home! Just be careful not to jostle them around too much.
