My rooster is 9 months old and is very tame and likes to be held it has been starting to scream? Is this normal is it what they do when hey grow up because i have been noticing hes been doing it every so often but non of the other roosters or hens do it. Is this ok?

Does he do it when you pick him up? If so, its a sign that he is not overly impressed by it! However, one of my hens has just started making similar noise when she sees me, but then she runs to me and wants to be stroked - madness!

Sounds like you have a well mannered rooster, but do be careful about how you treat them. They have to know that you are the alpha animal around them, otherwise they can turn nasty (not all do, but just a word of caution).

I have an occasional rooster who will randomly make a screaming sound, I call it Kung Fu noises, it's quite normal, but not all roosters do it, I think it's a sign of nervousness, or an attempt to feel more manly.

Ah, well thats a warning to the rest of the flock - even if he's just telling the sparrows etc to get lost. Kinda saying to his girls - "I'm your man - nothing to sweat when I'm around".
