We have a start on our Self Blue Orpington Bantam project. We have a few Self Blue Cochin Bantams with poor foot feathering. When grown we will amte these to our Black orpington and Wyandotte Bantams to work towards the Self Blue in the Orpington and Wyandottes. Should only need about two or three hatches to set the color. Then a generation or two to clean the shanks and work on better type. Here is one of our Self Blue Cochin bantam chicks:

On your adults, what color are the shanks?

What color would you call the beaks?

We are not in a hurry on ours. Since we have the Blacks in both breeds and these eggs went cheap on eBay, just decided to go ahead with them. Do you have photos of the latest adult generation? Be nice to see what we are shooting for. Good Orp type with a Self Blue color. Our Large Fowl Self Blue Orps are looking very nice. Very good type.

Bantam Lavender Orpingtons already exists, there are several of us in the US with F2's and F3's in the project.
