Semi-temporary non-mobile coop ideas

I’m leaning towards this idea. How many cinder blocks did you use? Did you use concrete at all? Do you have a pictures readily available. Thank you so much.

I’m blessed to have received a grant, but that means certain requirements like “temporary” (not fixed to ground) until after the grant year is complete.
Grant for what?

Set your wood on those. Definitionally temporary. Will need skirting to prevent ground predators. PT lumber as a frame set on them. Will reduce ground contact, take away a lot of rot concerns, and make it easier to deal w/ irregularities in the lava rock. And then yes, I would look to a "hoop coop" for inspiration on that budget

You can find pics of my build linked in the "My Coop" under my username. Dunno how many blocks I used, but I didn't fill them entirely with concrete, so it was easily removable. Only a few blocks with rebar or anchor j-bolt inside, got filled. The rest were filled with gravel and just a cap of concrete to seal up the top against my sill plate. I debated using the pier blocks, but mainly went for the cinder block for the aesthetic of a solid foundation since it's visible across my property.
