Hello! I have 8 quail chicks. One was the only to hatch from some eggs I had stuck into an incubator, the rest I picked up from a breeder today. The chick I hatched seems to have some sort of respiratory Illness. I am keeping him separated from the rest.. I was wondering if it's okay to keep him in the same room as everyone else? They are in two different brooders, but I wasnt sure if they could catch what he has from being in the same room together.. Sorry if this seems like a silly question, I have never had this issue before!

What are his symptoms of illness? It’s so much less likely the one you hatched from an egg would be sick and the others fine.

He ended up passing but he made a strange little noise that ended up being a respiratory infection, I believe. He had made the noise ever since he hatched. He made a crinkle/tapling noise when he breathed. He never met the other birds, and was just in the same room as them. The egg he had hatched from had some micro-cracks and I was suprised he even developed and hatched.
