Hi all. I need some advice. I have a flock of Malaysian Seramas—14 hens and 3 roosters—all about six months old. My hens are going broody one after another and want to sit on eggs. Right now, I have three broody hens that have taken over almost all the nesting boxes. And it’s the middle of winter! I live in Poland, and while it’s not extremely cold, I’m still worried this isn’t the best time for chicks. What should I do in this situation? Will leaving the broody hens in the nest without eggs work? Or should I give them fake eggs? I don’t have the space to separate each hen individually to break their broodiness.
