Sexing DSL Barnevelders 5 weeks

5 weeks now! The only one I’m really stumped on is Pinky (pink band). Comb growth is much slower compared to Bluey and Blacky and closer in colour to white bands.

Have compared in pics below with shots of feathering/lacing.

At that age, I'd be saying the first two are pullets but you should definitely know by 6 weeks.

Hi all,

I’ve got 4x 4.5 week old beautiful double silver laced barnevelders and I’m wondering about their sex. I’ve heard barnies can be hard as the combs can pink up early.

My guesses are; light blue and black bands = roos. Pink and white bands = pullets.

Would love to hear your thoughts! View attachment 3956503
Hello if you don’t mind me asking for help I’m having the same issue stumped on if mine are boy or girl. The first two have more patterns but the last two are more solid. They all have very mix matched features to me.

Hi there, yes! Original guesses were right; 2 pullets and 2 roosters! Pink and white bands were pullets
