I took in 3 RIR x chicks from a daycare hatching program. They are now 3.5 weeks old. I believe I have 1 pullet and 1 cockerel :( but I’m unsure about the 3rd chick, leaning towards cockerel tho! I know it’s early but they’re growing so fast and sadly we can’t keep roosters where I am and would rather rehome the boys before I get more attached. Can anyone please help me identify genders? TIA

ahhh, they are just so cute! i think you have 2 girls and a boy, but i could be wrong!
Thank you! I’ll have to get some more pics, the one I’m unsure of (the other lighter coloured one) has grown to almost the same size as the cockerel with the same feathering and huge legs/ feet! Stands tall, thicker head and bigger comb than the pullet.

not a problem, like i said im not sure, would love more pics!

I think you have 2 cockerels and 1 pullet. See how the comb is bigger, thicker, and more swollen with the other two than the pullet in pic 8? I could be wrong, some more unclose pics would help :)

I would say 2 pullets & a cockeral. However there is 1 picture were the darker one has its head turned & the comb looks to have darker pink in it. Need updated side angle pics of the comb. Also see if the waddles(while very small I know) are starting to show more pink/red.

I had 2 rooster brothers(light brahma). I swear 1 matured waaaay slower than his brother, that for the 1st 4 months I thought I might have a hen because his comb, waddle, & saddle feathers did not grow in anywhere near when his brothers did but he did look slightly different than his sisters. So I don't rule out a possible roo just because it doesn't match up to a roo of the same age & breed.

Updated pics, 6 weeks old tomorrow. First is clearly a cockerel, have attached 2 pics of the other 2. Thanks for all your help!
