Ex Batts good afternoon one and all!

Tea is ready and good.

Temperature is in the 60s sunny.

One hour today. Transport problems. Just enough time to feed them, do their water and clean out the coop. Also put foil back EPDM in the bottom of the nest boxes. You never know, one of them might just happen to feel like laying an egg; sort of show willing but not get carried away.

The coop floor needs a wash which I can't see getting done until next week.
The weather is going to get a bit exciting here over the weekend apparently.
The chickens are going to get very pissed off because it will definitely not be chicken out friendly weather given 50 mph plus forcasted wind gusts.

It's the threads third birthday today. Happy birthday thread.

It's blowing a gale here already. Some of the boys are crowing, but I suspect that no-one will be rushing to come out when I open up in an hour's time... unless they're really starving for breakfast! Then they'll spend the day in a quiet huddle in the least windy place they can find.

Happy birthday thread , my, how time flies! A rollercoaster of highs & heartbreak (Lima, sweary boys and all). Great to see how things have improved from the poor raggle-tag bunch of half starved, neglected souls to the current happy, healthy family. A great learning thread for us hoomans too. I'm om day three with the pair I bought and so far they've worked well. One possible downside is they aren't really suitable for tucking inside gloves.
