1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Elders,queens and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires or is exiled.
9. After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
10. A gathering of all four Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
11. Borders must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
16. Each Clan has the right to be proud and independent, but in times of trouble they must forget their boundaries and fight side by side to protect the five. Each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall.

Exceptions

• Cats on their way to the Starstone or Starpool are allowed to cross other Clans' territories to get to their destination - LightningClan grounds on the hillside and MossClan grounds by the lake, in the forest.
• At the lake, cats may travel on other Clans' grounds as long as they are within two fox-lengths of the lake; for instance, to go to a Gathering.
• Cats may travel on other Clan territories if they have something to report or ask for help.
• The code is flexible about leadership challenges. Cats may challenge a weak or cruel leader if their Clan is in danger, and if their leadership threatens the Clan, the code expects a warrior to challenge their leader.

Additional Rules

The following rules are not specifically stated in the warrior code, but are expected to be followed:

• Medicine cats may not have a mate or kits.
• Kits must stay in camp until they are apprenticed, and are not allowed to hunt.
• The safety of the Clan is more important than the safety of one cat.
• Clans must not unite together to drive out another Clan.
• Clans must not force another Clan to share territory.
• Enemy patrols must not attack cats if they are on a mission all four Clans agree on.
• Cats cannot eat when going to the Starstone or Starpool to speak with StarClan.

Clans:

MossClan- MossClan are thick pelted, brave loyal warriors, They stand up for their clans and aren’t afraid to help others.
Territory: A thick forest with tangled undergrowth, a large stream seperates the border with NightClan and another with LightningClan.
Camp: A huge oak grows almost in the center of the territory, huge roots grow, around it making a strong wall, all the ground in their camp is covered in thick, fluffy moss. The dens are in the roots, and alot of cats have their own dens.

LightningClan: LightningClan are the fast, Ferocious warriors of the hill sides. They are easily offended and don’t take no for an answer.
Territory: A waterfall, sourced by the Starpool itself runs through their territory they live on the open hills, a few trees dot the territory, most of the grass is very long. There is a forest near to the border with MossClan.
Camp: A large dip in the ground the dens are mostly old rabbit burrows that have been furnished with nests. The leader has a large stone in front of his/her large den.

StreamClan: StreamClan swim and love the water. They have sleek pelts and are often considered quite lazy. Also: Crayfish migrate to their territory every year.
Territory: They live on a large island, inaccessible to twolegs and other clans.
Camp: In a large gorge with a stream running through it a circle of willow trees surrounds the gorge, so cats were able to dig dens among the twisted roots.
Prey: Their territory is a major salmon spawning ground, crayfish migrate there annualy

NightClan: NightClan are often considered evil, dark-hearted cats that kill for fun. They are secretive and stay to the shadows, usally their pelts are dark tabby, brown, gray and black.
Territory: A marshy pine forest, you can hardly see the sun under the trees. A small pool is in the middle of the camp.
Camp: A large gorge, with a bramble screen growing over the top. It is very difficult to access, without getting your pelts pricked. NightClan have secret tunnels that lead into their camp. The dens are all heavily fortified bramble dens. The nursery den is lined with feathers and fur, so the kits don’t prick themselves. The leader’s den is a rocky crevice with brambles growing from the edges. They make annoucements from the shade rock, that juts out from the den.

MeadowClan: Small mainly golden-brown cats, MeadowClan prefer to avoid conflict. They can fight, but prefer battles via words then any actual conflict.
Territory: Large meadow of golden grass, they have hardly any trees on the territory.
Camp: A huge tree with twisted roots, the cats’ dens are among the tree roots
Prey:Unknown, MeadowClan are very secretive, only known prey: Vole



Prolouge
Lightning flickered at the edge of a rocky gorge. Two cats sat above the gorge, rain pounding as the icy wind whipped their fur. The smaller one, a gray she-cat spoke first, yowling to get over the sound of pounding rain. “LeafHeart”, the she-cat meowed, “I need to ask you something.” A caramel- colored she-cat looked up at her. “What would that be?”, she hissed. The gray she-cat’s eyes were glazed with sadness. “I need you to take my kits.


Chapter 1
A wiry gray tabby tom stepped forward. “What are you doing on my territory”, he growled.
“What do you mean, your territory.” A gray tortoiseshell snarled.
“If you take one step closer I’ll…”
“Attack!” a light brown tabby tom shrieked.
“What are you three doing?” A golden tabby meowed, emerging from the nursery den.
“We were playing”, The gray tabby meowed indignantly.
The golden she-cat sighed. “You’re apprentice ceremonies are tonight, and you will look like you’ve been dragged through the mud in the lake backwards, what’s FlameStar going to say?” she scolded, her expression lightened. “Go clean yourselves up.”

“That was your fault GorseKit, If FlameStar delays our apprenticeships again I’m gonna tear my fur out.”
GorseKit snorted. “It’s not my fault, I wasn’t actually going to attack you, if anything it’s SparrowKit’s fault, he yowled the battle cry.”
Sparrowkit frowned. “IceKit and GorseKit, it was both of your fault.”
The two kits flattened their ears, but said nothing.
Finally IceKit broke the silence, “I’m not licking all this mud off my fur. Let’s go wash in the stream.”
The other two nodded their approval. As the three kits padded across camp, they heard many gasps from the other cats. They can think what they want, one day I’m gonna be the best warrior in the forest, Gorsekit thought. He scrambled backwards in alarm as Icekit plunged into the stream. “What are you? A StreamClan cat?” he muttered. Reluctantly he waded into the stream, shuddering as the cold water licked at his belly fur. He held his breath and plunged under the icy cold water. Racing back to the surface, he hoisted himself onto the sandy bank, shaking the tiny water droplets from his pelt.

A cold silver moon hung like a claw in the midnight-blue sky. “I’m so excited.” Icekit squeaked, “Look, Flamestar is padding out of his den to the mossrock.” Gorsekit looked up. “All cats gather below the mossrock for a clan meeting.”Flamestar meowed.
Leafheart looked at her kits. “You will walk up there like sensible apprentices not silly kits, and you will at least groom yourselves before.” Gorsekit nodded, before racing off. “As you all know we have three kits, they have been in in the nursery den for the required six moons, Gorsekit, Icekit, Sparrowkit step forward.” The three kits stepped forward together. “Icekit, you have been proved, bold and enthusiastic and now from this moment, until you receive your warrior name, you will be called Icepaw your mentor will be Riverfang.” “Icepaw, Icepaw” the crowd of cats called out. “Sparrowpaw, you have requested to me you follow the path of a medicine cat, Mistleaf will be your mentor.“Sparrowpaw! Sparrowpaw!” the crowd cheered. “And now Gorsekit, it is your time to become an apprentice, from now until you become a warrior you will be called Gorsepaw, Sunstream is a brave warrior, also my loyal deputy she will mentor you. StarClan I ask you to look down on these three apprentices, and guide their paws on the path set out for them.”
“Icepaw, Sparrowpaw, Gorsepaw!” the crowd cheered. Gorsepaw swelled with pride, This is
what I deserve.


Chapter 2
Gorsepaw looked at the cold shafts of moonlight. It had been a day since their apprentice ceremonies. “The gathering is tonight”, Flamestar meowed, “We should take our new apprentices, Bramblepaw, Silverpaw, Icepaw, Gorsepaw and Sparrowpaw. You can come, and your mentors. That should be enough. We’ll leave now.”

Gorsepaw looked around. “The territory is so big.” he meowed. Sunstream smiled, “You haven’t seen the half of it.” Gorsepaw looked around. “How are we going to get to the island.” “We swim of course.”
“What?!”
Sunstream laughed “There’s a tree bridge, don’t worry we won’t make you swim.”
Gorsepaw let out a sigh of relief. As they came to the long, fallen pines he looked at the cracked dry riverbed placed below him.
“The bridge looks slippery.” Icepaw meowed.
“Don’t worry”, Flamestar meowed calmly, “We won’t let you fall.”
Taking a few steps forward he noticed slippery green lichen clung to the pine trees. “Argh!” Gorsepaw screeched, his hind legs skidding off the tree branch. “Help me!” He dug his claws into the trunk of the tree, thrashing his body helplessly.
“Gorsepaw!” Icepaw screamed, racing forward, she reached down, gripping her brother’s scruff tightly in her jaws.
“Hrrld orrn”, she mumbled through a mouthful of fur.
“I’m trying”, Gorsepaw snapped. Terror seered through him, and he leaped up onto the branch. Trying to shake off the annoyed looks from the other cats he continued the rest of the way to the island.

Gorsepaw looked at the island, Wow! This is amazing! He looked at the gorge, there was a large rock jutting from the edge. “Go find somewhere to sit.” Sunstream meowed. “Okay!” Gorsepaw bounded down the slope. He looked over his shoulder. Icepaw was chatting with a few LightningClan apprentices and Sparrowpaw was meeting the other clan’s medicine cats. Boring! Gorsepaw thought I might as well find somewhere to sit. Gorsepaw padded towards the spot a pretty she-cat was chatting to a larger tom. “Hi”, she meowed, noticing Gorsepaw. “Oh, hi Gorsepaw meowed. “Who are you?”, she asked. “Oh, I’m Gorsepaw.” he meowed, embarrassed.
“You made quite the entrance”, she remarked, a sparkle in eye.
Gorsepaw grinned, “Yeah, I meant to do that.”
The she-cat laughed, “I’m Riverpaw. In LightningClan.”
“Oh, cool then”, Gorsepaw meowed.
“The gathering will begin now!” A loud voice called out from the great rock.
“You may speak first Miststar.”
A gray she-cat, her fur speckled white with age, stepped forward.
“NightClan is strong”, her voice was crackly. “We have three new kits, Larkkit, Tawnykit and Graykit, born to Streamsong, We also have two new warriors Doveheart and Whitemist.”
“Doveheart! Whitemist!” The other clans called out. Gorsepaw noticed that Streamclan weren’t cheering, their pelts looked ruffled, and their gazes were slits. That’s not nice, He thought, It’s mean for a whole clan to not cheer for new warriors. When the cheering had died down, a Dark gray tabby tom stepped forward. Flamestar dipped his head respectfully, “You may speak now Stormstar.”
Stormstar dipped his large gray head, his white ears pricked.
“LightningClan are strong, despite the beggining drought, the prey is good as ever, we have no new kits but, there are three new warriors, Pheasantflight, Quailwing and Coalclaw.”
Again cheering from all the clans broke out, StreamClan bristled, but cheered lightly.
A dark brown she-cat stepped forward. “My clan is doing well”, she meowed, “A patrol recently drove out a fox, that had made a den on our territory, It went towards MossClan territory. I doubt it will give you any trouble though.”
“Thank you Briarstar, Pearlstar, you may speak now.” Flamestar meowed.
A cream and gray she-cat padded out of the shadows.
“That must be Pearlstar”, Riverpaw whispered. “Gorsepaw, meet me tomorrow night.”
Gorsepaw nodded, looking at the she-cat’s piercing blue gaze. Her cream tabby pelt bristled, every bone visible under her fur.
“The lake is drying!” she spat, “And thanks to you my clan are starving!” Her pelt bristled, the fur on her neck rising. “The lake belongs to StreamClan, we are claiming it as our territory.”
“What?! You can’t do that!”, Stormstar spat, “The lake belongs to no cat!”
“We all need the lake now that the streams have dried!” Briarstar growled, “You can’t claim it!”
“Yes we can.” Pearlstar hissed. “Streamclan can only eat fish, so clearly, we should have the lake.”
“Can’t you find something else to eat?!” A NightClan elder yowled.
“Yeah, or are you too dumb too catch mice?” A MeadowClan apprentice called.
Pearlstar’s fur fluffed, her eyes slitted,”Fine!” She growled, “We won’t claim the lake, but the fish belong to us!”










Chapter 3
“What are we doing today?” Icepaw asked, bouncing out of the apprentice den towards her mentor.
“Nothing fun I’m afraid”, Riverfang meowed.
“What?” Icepaw asked, still curious.
“Water patrols”, Riverfang sighed.
“Cool!” Icepaw exclaimed, “Can Crimsonpaw come too?”
“Sure.” Riverfang meowed cooly.
“Crimsonpaw! You can come on water patrol!”
Crimsonpaw looked up, “Great! I’ll go get Blazingheart.”
“Blazingheart”, Riverfang mused.
“What was that Riverfang?” Blazingheart meowed, padding up to the silver tabby.
“Oh, nothing. Do you have the moss?” She asked, obviously changing the subject.
“Yerp.” Crimsonpaw mumbled through a mouthful of moss.
“Great!” Blazingheart meowed, let’s go.”

The sun blazed overhead, it’s scorching rays burned the ground.
“It’s so hot.” Crimsonpaw groaned.
“I can see that”, Riverfang grunted, “We’re almost at the lake.”
Or what’s left of it, Icepaw thought darkly. Suddenly the reek of dead fish filled her nostrils. “Eww, yuck!” Icepaw spat. Looking at the lake bed, she saw hundreds of rotting fish scattered across the pebbles. “Yuck.” She remarked. As she leapt down the bank, realisation shot through her this used to be underwater! Sharp pebbles sprayed out behind her, as she skidded down the slope.
“Watch what you’re doing!” Crimsonpaw yowled, “I’ve got grit in my eyes now!”
“Sorry”, Icepaw mumbled, glancing towards where her friend was trying to remove the dirt from her eyes.
“Follow me”, Blazingheart meowed, “Be careful, the mud can fall in.”
Icepaw cautiously followed Blazingheart’s steps, carefully tracing them through the mud. Eww, this gonna take moons to wash off!

The dirty shallow pool in the center of the lake, could barely be called a lakebed anymore. The reek of rotten fish was practically overpowering now, and the large corpses made her shudder. This is disgusting. She thought. The fish disturbed her with their large glazed eyes, so she tried not to look at them.
“What do we do now?” Icepaw asked Riverfang, the tabby was tracing Blazingheart’s pawsteps as well.
“Get some moss, and soak it in the lake. When you think it’s wet, get it out and do another piece.” Riverfang instructed. Icepaw padded up to where Crimsonpaw was holding the moss, she took some and gently dabbed it in the gritty, yet clear water. The clans can’t go on like this.

Chapter 4
“The camp is under attack!!!” Riverfang screamed racing into camp, “StreamClan and NightClan are coming they don’t look happy!”
“Defend the camp!” Flamestar ordered, “Don’t let them get to the queens or the elders!”
The other clan’s scent’s overwhelmed Gorsepaw. He raced out of camp with the warriors. “Attack!!!”
In a split second the world turned red around him, just two sunrises ago, he had been play-fighting with his littermates, now this was a real battle. He unsheathed his claws, tearing at the flesh of a NightClan cat, beads of blood splattered his pelt, and for a second he didn’t know if it was his or an enemies.
“Heellp!!”, A piercing voice snapped him out of his daze.
“I’m coming!”, he called, but his senses were forcing him to kill. He unsheathed his claws before slicing open the throat of a large tom ,blood splattered his face. Gorsepaw looked at the mangled body in horror. What have I done? The tom’s clanmates helped him up, before retreating into the woods. Foreboding claws gripped at Gorsepaw’s throat. Despite his clanmates helping him, he won’t survive. He thought darkly. His vision was blurred as he clawed his way through the fighting cats.
“They’re in the camp!”, the terrified voice of Snowtail called.
“Warriors of NightClan, fall back”, a powerful voice commanded.
“Into camp now!” Sunstream snarled, she had more ferocity in her voice than ever before.
“But, I wanna fight!”, Gorsepaw argued.
“Get into camp.” Sunstream meowed firmly, “You’re only an apprentice, this is your first battle.”
“But I can do it!” He protested, biting back the words ,I killed a tom.
“Get into camp! I don’t have time for this!” She growled.
Gorsepaw padded into camp. I don’t feel hurt, I feel more alive than ever.
“Icepaw, Gorsepaw and Bramblepaw” Flamestar meowed, “Go to LightningClan and get help.”
“But, can Crimsonpaw come?”, Bramblepaw whined, his clear liking for the pretty she-cat now in the open.
“No!” Flamestar meowed, “This is a life or death situation, do you want your clanmates to die?”
“Of course not!”, Bramblepaw hissed, “That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”
“Then go! I’m not gonna tolerate any more of this.”
“Fine.” Bramblepaw growled.

As the three cats raced into the forest, fear pricked Gorsepaw What if Riverpaw has to fight.
“Hurry up!”, Icepaw hissed, snapping him out of his thoughts. As they approached the LightningClan camp he halted. Sniffing the air for Riverpaw’s sweet scent, he found only the sharp, wiry scent of LightningClan.
“Come on Gorsepaw!”, Icepaw growled, “The more you daydream, the more our clanmates are injured.”
“Okay, I’m coming!”, Gorsepaw mewed, as they padded down the slope into the LightningClan camp. “

“Intruders!”, A gray she-cat spat.
“They don’t look like intruders”, a brown tabby mewed.
“They’re only three apprentices!”, said a small white queen, her belly heavy with kits.
“What is all this commotion?”, the powerful figure of Stormstar meowed, emerging from his den.
“These apprentices are in the camp.” The white queen mewed.
Stormstar licked the she-cat affectionately.
“Thank you for clearing that up Frostbird.” Stormstar meowed, standing protectively over his mate.
“I heard Stormstar’s first mate Streamflow died of greencough.” Bramblepaw whispered.
That must have been Riverpaw’s mother! The thought sparked in Gorsepaw’s mind, like lightning.
If Stormstar heard Bramblepaw’s comment, he did a good job of hiding any offense taken. Gorsepaw scanned the camp for any sign of Riverpaw. Spotting her pretty silver pelt he turned his attention to Stormstar.
“Stormstar”, Icepaw puffed, still regaining her breath, “We need some warriors, NightClan and StreamClan are attacking the camp!”, she gasped.
Stormstar tensed, “Very well”, he meowed, “Sweetflower, Brightdrop, Dewwhisker! Come in my patrol, Brightfire, take Tanglefur, Pearlfur, Snowmist, Winterglow and Nightbird.”
The air in the LigntningClan’s camp was thick with tension as the warriors departed. “Where are they going?”, a little black and white tom asked.
“Come back here Badgerkit.” A speckled gray she-cat meowed, emerging from what must have been the nursery den.
“Let’s go”, Icepaw whispered, nudging Gorsepaw towards the camp entrance.
Gorsepaw followed, aware of the staring eyes

Is Bluestar a good leader? Absolutly.Until she became confused and angered by Tigerclaw's banishment.
Is Tigerclaw a great example of a villian? He was, But in my opinion, Scourge was wayyyyyy better
Do you prefer Leafpool or Squirrelflight? Honestilly I love both.But I find Squrrielflight wayyyyy more enjoyable.She needs her own Novel/Super Edition(Duh she is Firestar's daughter!)
