I have a 16 week old pullet. She's so sweet and gentle. She's also got an eye issue but is doing OK.

Here is a picture of her, do we think she's near point of lay? I've never had a pullet redden up this early before but I know it's not unheard of.

The rest of the pullets are no where near as red as her but she's definitely a pullet.

I have an EE pullet that was so red at 4 weeks I thought she was a male. She's 26 weeks now, super red, squatting for the last 3 weeks, and still nothing. So in my experience, red comb is just red comb.

I am guessing that she still has a good month or two before she starts. One of my pullets started getting red at 6 weeks old and was that red by 10. She was my first to lay and was 20 weeks old

Hopefully I still have some time to sort out the new nesting boxes (not that i expect them to use them 😅)

Awwe she is so gorgeous! Clearly has Faverolles in her! I love my Faverolles, funniest chicken in my flock 😁

She was born from a bunch of supposedly araucana eggs, supposedly pure breed, that I was given for free to test my incubator.
She came out with so much faverolles in her lol. I really love the colors and she totally have the faverolles personality!
I'm glad she's not an araucana because if she was I would have sold her (not a fan of rumpless birds).
Most of the eggs were pure araucanas, except 2 weird pullets that I kept for me.
