Shiny Feathers

Hi,
New chicken owner here. I have 6 10week old chicks and I’m unfortunately thinking I have 3 Roos (plus I exchanged a 4th one for a pullet already). I have been looking for the sickle feathers and notice that the 3 in question have some shiny feathers starting. My question is do a pullets new feathers start out shiny? I know they supposedly go through a molt around this time and get adult feathers. Just wondering if this is another indicator.

I have never noticed a difference in sheen between genders. If you post pictures you can get more opinions

I know when I had buff Orps usually one of the first signs was the males would have shiny hackle feathers when their male specific hackle feathers started showing up.

I don’t have pictures of the shiny feathers - I can definitely get some tomorrow. They’re hard to see because it looks likes they’re just starting to come through. But these are the ones in question (im pretty much 99.9% sure #1 is a roo but #4 is a BYM and my absolute favorite one )

Darn I know the brown/rust on the wings could be an indicator but it also has that color on neck/head/and chest so I was really trying to talk myself out of it
