Woooowww!!! I’d love to get my hands on some of their molted feathers!!A green melanistic ring-necked pheasant. It weighs about 3lbs. View attachment 4038280
Hi Sean! I’ve been exploring this page and trying to become familiar with it. After you sent this pic I scanned through some of the other photos on your profile and you have some really beautiful birds in your pics!! Are they yours? I ask bc I’m artist and work with a lot of feathers and wanted to ask if you might have any feathers you’d be interested in getting off your hands (perhaps in exchange for art?). Hope you don’t mind me asking - but certainly no pressure at all! I just saw the gorgeous birds in your pics and started drooling over the thought of what one might collect during molting time from those beauties!!A green melanistic ring-necked pheasant. Yes, all the birds in my profile or those that I have posted are my own birds. I mostly only collect the wing and tail feathers, the others are so small it's hard to pick them up as easily as the others. I do on occasion pick up a few that catch my eye! I do have a few whole birds that are frozen, I haven't gotten around to mounting them, and probably won't now due to 'freezer burn'. I could possibly get some of those feathers but alot will be to dried out to get lose from the muscles....freeze dried.Hi Sean! I’ve been exploring this page and trying to become familiar with it.
