I would like to start showing Partridge Cochins Large Fowl. Point me in the right direction and please post any breeder of quality Partridge Cochins.
Thanks

They're hard to find. I've heard from others on here that the partridge variety because of Partridge Rock blood has a hard time maintaining leg feathering. Our rooster has no leg feathers. If you find a good breeder, please let me know because I'm looking for some hens.

I have 1 partridge cochin standard hen and i use to have the roo (i could get him back if i wanted) and actually the leg feathering looks great on my hen and looked good on the roo too. I dont know how much she fits to the APA standard but her feather coloring does appear to match.

I would suggest looking at cochin clubs. If you can find shows like Iowa or Ohio Nationals. Try to find the winners of the cochin class or best in class best in show and the names of people will start to appear. I like wyandottes and this is what I am starting to do. May take awhile to contact the right people but maybe someone on here will show up and help you out. Mike

Look in the poultry press. There are several breeders advertising in there that you could get stock from. The cochins international website is pretty good. Cochinsrule.com is also good, a page made my a breeder who raises LF Buff, lots of pics too.
If you dont have a poultry press, let me know and I will look and let you know of some of the breeders advertising there.
