hello all,

a few weeks ago my family bought 2 showgirls from someone in town, at this point i believe they’re about 15/16 weeks old. One of them (the one with the naked neck) acts very aggressively (shuffles sideways when they get close, bites their tail feathers and will not let go) towards all our other girls and has had to be isolated multiple times, and I’m starting to wonder if she is a he! it’d be wonderful if y’all could provide some insight as to whether or not these two are roosters or if we just have a mean hen, thank you! (i don’t think the other one without the naked neck does not act dominant like a rooster, but i definitely heard a crow today that makes me think it may have been her)

thank you all so much! this helps a lot, especially seeing as my family is new to chicken keeping this year and even newer to silkies/showgirls. I’m assuming that would also explain his aggressive tail biting behavior with the hens as a sloppy way of trying to mate? thanks again!
