All good! My understanding is that it is basically working with the horse with no tack, ropes, or anything like that. Relying on communication and a strong bond to guide their behavior. If you look it up it will probably give you a good overview and it is really interesting! I have a book about it but have yet to do anything.

I used to do liberty with one of my mares sometimes, not any mounted but it was so fun

Hello! I haven’t been on here for a while and have a couple questions for you guys. Does anyone have a fluffy girth you would recommend that is good quality? I was also curious if any of you have done any type of liberty stuff with your horses?

You could have a look at Dover Saddlery or Smartpak. I personally don't have any fluffy girths, but these stores seem to have a decent selection.

Just caught this one on the barn cam trying to get in the net - I made sure I closed it this morning!

Yeah I’ve been looking at some from dover saddlery. There was one from LeMieux that I wanted, but the Dover Saddlery only has a few of theirs. I’ll check smartpak.

I've done a bit of liberty. I'm working on it with my horse Max. The current trick is that he'll run with me and stop and back up at the same time as I do. Now I'm working on him coming when I hold out my hand. I haven't done mounted liberty. Eventually that's a goal, but for now I ride bareback and bridleless. I just ride him in his soft two knot rope halter.
