I have a barred rock who has been sick going on 4 days now. She has been laying down and won’t walk very often. She is eating and drinking (although not as much), and is having light green poops. Her comb is bright red. She has been on a break from laying. We are in Texas and it was very hot so I had a few stop laying. She doesn’t have any other symptoms. I keep think she is going to pass, but is still hanging out. I think it could be egg yolk peritonitis. Anyone have experience with this or think it could be something else? She also has a white spot on her comb, but I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it.
We also lost two chickens this past month. I thought it was from heat, but I’ve questioned if there’s more going on. My other hens are all acting normal.
Thanks for the help!

Photos of poop?

Is she molting?

Any bloat or feeling of fluid in the abdomen?

Check her crop first thing in the morning to make sure it's emptying. Look her over for lice/mites.

I would work on hydration. That hunched up appearance she has, I'd be inclined to give her Extra Calium for a week. 1 Calcium Citrate+D3 tablet once daily, just pop it into her beak and let her swallow.

Do consider getting a fecal float to see if she needs deworming.
