I have 3 Indian Runner females recently acquired on June 24th, they’re about 5 months old. The past week and a half one of them has started wheezy breathing and occasionally has fits of sneezing and hiccuping. She is still eating and drinking but she has quit laying the occasional egg. The vet didn’t seem too concerned and prescribed her an antibiotic but I’m not so sure he really cared much to actually LOOK at her if you know what I mean. Her wing feathers seem a little off too, not bad looking but not quite right. The other two ducks seem fine still.FB POST WITH VIDS OF DUCK

Oh poor girl. She certainly has a respiratory problem . Infection. Could be bacteria or even fungus.

Please give her the full antibiotic course and see if she improves. If not go back to the vet and ask directly "Could she have aspergillosis?" If that is the problem, best have the vet treat. It's not easy treating at home although it can be done. If it is aspergillosis, you need to clean out the duck house, bedding and all (wear a mask whole you are digging it out) and bleach all the surfaces. I hope it's a bacterial 9nfection and she improves with antibiotics

I definitely plan on giving her the full antibiotics prescribed and I hope it isn’t the aspergillosis you mentioned. I just hope she gets better soon and the other two don’t catch anything
