So my darling Henny (Easter Egger) has been acting quite strange the past couple of days. She hasn't be grazing like the others and she has been laying down most of the day in one spot. I go to pick her up and she pretty much allows me without any restraint. She used to go running around with all the chickens but she is no longer and is to herself now. I've looked online and read about checking for crop problems. I checked and at first it felt like a small and hard lump (this was in the afternoon though) but in the morning is was a lump but it was squishy. I read about sour crop and impacted crop. It's hard for me to feel it with a bunch of feathers in the way so I had a hard time deciphering which was which.
I have been massaging her crop everyday in case of impacted crop but it feels like its probably squishy. I try checking in the mornings and I feel it (read that it should be hard to detect in the mornings).
I saw her poop yesterday and it was pretty much all yellow liquid with a small pellet sized green and white poop.
This morning I left her in the coop by herself and closed the door so the other chickens couldn't get in or her out. I put fresh water with garlic and apple cider vinegar inside the coop with her. I read I should not allow her to eat for a day but I'm wondering if I should continue that? I was thinking of getting plain Greek yogurt for her so she can eat that at least?
I'm also worried that this might not even be a crop problem? What if it was something more serious? What if it's nothing at all?
As far as her leg egging, we didnt get anything yesterday but the day before she laid. I would say she has been having problems the past 3 days (as far as we noticed, I feel as though I noticed right away though)

This is Henny

@Tyson_chickens
Can you post a pic of her poop? And is she having any other symptoms? Like runny nose, weigh loss, etc.
Next time I see her poop I'll be sure to post a pic of it... I havent noticed runny nose, it's only been a couple days so I havent noticed any weight loss either, but I'll be sure her to weigh her now so I have an actual number to compare too. I looked at her cloaca and it's clean and looks normal

Update: she is still not feeling well... I caught her pooping so I was able to take a picture of it this time.
I also gave her some plain Greek yogurt yesterday. I decided to let her out of the coop in case she wants to graze today. Let me know if I should be trying something else

Poop pictures would be helpful in case she is passing yellow material that could be egg material or yellow urates, which can be seen with a liver problem or ascites. Sometimes the crop may become slow and puffy when something else is going on, such as with reproductive problems. How old is Henny? Are you positive that she has been laying recently? I would feel of some of your other hen’s crops this evening after they go to roost, when it is easier to handle them. Then in the early morning, feel of Henny’s crop again. It should be empty in the morning, and gradually fill up with food during the day if she is eating. If it is puffy and soft in the morning, it could be slow or starting to go sour. If it is hard or doughy it could be impacted. I would try feeding her some cooked egg and a little wet chicken feed, but no whole grains or other foods.

There is a lot of thick mucus and yellow material or urates in the poop. It might be good to check her for egg binding by inserting a finger into her vent 1 inch, and you can wear a disposable glove if you have one. Look for any egg yolk or egg white in her droppings.

I'm not quite sure how old Henny is since she was the one I got from a friend and he wasn't sure how old she is either. But based off her coat i assumed she is an Easter egger cause she looks similar to one that I bought. She was for sure laying eggs regularly (she is the only hen laying eggs atm)
I checked her tummy to see if I can feel an egg but I did not but I will go and check the vent as well.
Do you think I should leave her inside the coop all day today to ensure she doesnt eat anything else other than what you listed?

Can you just remove anything other than chicken feed and water? It is probably okay if she pecks around at grass and bugs. I just would not feed her scratch or corn, or hard things like that. Do you have a regular vet that could check her poop for parasites tomorrow?

So I checked her vent and didnt feel anything and when I pulled out there are the white poop on my finger. I dont have a vet for chickens but I'm sure I can look one up to schedule an appt. I was trying to do all I can before it came to that but i think it may be necessary.
I give all the birds about 3 cups of scratch in the early mornings (I just throw it all around the yard so they can search for it) (they also have unlimited amount of grit as well as oyster shells if they want them) if she is able to eat grass and bugs then I probably will let her out (all the scratch is usually gone after a few hours cause not only do my birds eat them but the neighborhood birds try to dine as well haha)

Btw thank you so much for all of your advice
