I have some funky silkie cockerels which I cannot keep. Just before treading or crowing age. I’d like some payment/trade to make up for the price or rearing them, but don’t intend to charge high prices as they are not 100/100 show quality. All are bred from a white cockerel and paint hen, both split for lavender, so there is a good chance they carry it.
First one is Tangerine (I apologise for naming them, I do it by accident!). Single comb bearded silkie, red Pyle. Nice blue earlobes, friendly.
Second, Dusty. Proper walnut comb becoming slightly mulberry in colour. Bearded Red Pyle, a bit murkier in colour. Has extra claws on his extra toes. Big, the most dominant. Not nasty though, being a silkie obviously.
Sparrow, single comb. Silver and red blue partridge. A bit timid, but I love his colour. Looked like a sparrow as a chick. Splashes of colour through the slate colour.
I can get some better photos tomorrow if anyone is interested. I am not keen on butchering silkies due to their meat colour and it does not seem worth it. They are not causing trouble but I need them gone before they all mature, as I only have so many hens for them.
Message privately or respond to this if you are interested, I’m based in a DN22 postcode and cannot deliver them.
Thanks!
